Capacity Building for a Stronger Community
We work every day at United Way of Central Carolinas to give people in our community the tools and resources they need to be successful in their homes, businesses and neighborhoods.
Opportunities include sessions offered by Tutor Charlotte, like preparing tutors and mentors to better work with students experiencing trauma and understanding how to value students and their families.
Other Learning Network sessions like Nonprofit 101 aim to increase the knowledge, capacity and leadership of our Unite Charlotte grantees as well as other small organizations in our community.
“Just because an organization is small or grassroots, that doesn’t mean that they should get a pass on quality. The people that they serve deserve excellence. These capacity building trainings will help organizations serve their communities passionately and sustainably.”
