Carolina Panthers partner with United Way

Character Playbook and Much More

Did you know United Way’s partnership with the NFL is the longest running collaboration between a major sports league and a nonprofit?

Here in the Carolinas

Official Panthers team ambassadors to United Way have included Cam Newton, Steve Smith, and Bene Benwikere. Most recently, Greg Olsen’s excellence on the field, combined with his charitable work in the community, won $125,000 for expansion of the NFL-United Way Character Playbook partnership.

The NFL and United Way are making a direct impact in our community through programs and initiatives like these:

Character Playbook

Launched locally in August 2016, Character Playbook, funded by the NFL Foundation and United Way, and powered by EverFi, is a new national education initiative that focuses on youth character development and healthy relationships during students' critical middle school years.
